1:30pm	Family sports on the green Fun races for all ages - free entry. Just turn up to race on the day!
4:00pm	Tug of War Teams of 8, must register by 3:45pm to be eligible.
5:30	Carnival Assembly On West Green for Judging
5:45	Judging Begins
6:15	Carnival processions begins

Welcome to St Helens Sports & Carnival...

Welcome to the time honoured tradition of St Helens Sports and Carnival. At well over 100 years old it's one of the oldest carnivals in the Country.

Held in the village of St Helens on the Isle of Wight every August Bank Holiday Monday, the village sports offer something for everyone (and by everyone, we really do mean everyone from tots to centenarians!). The relaxed, family, fun atmosphere makes for a great afternoon's entertainment.

In the evening we hold the annual carnival procession. Although one of the shorter routes in the Isle of Wight's carnival diary, it is still well attended, despite the general demise of carnivals over recent years.
